{"id":724,"date":"2017-07-26T13:29:54","date_gmt":"2017-07-26T12:29:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.933.me.uk\/wordpress\/?p=724"},"modified":"2024-05-13T11:48:51","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T10:48:51","slug":"penne-allarrabbiata","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.933.me.uk\/wordpress\/2017\/07\/26\/penne-allarrabbiata\/","title":{"rendered":"Penne all&#8217;arrabbiata"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 oz pancetta or streaky bacon rashers<\/li>\n<li>3 garlic cloves (finely sliced)<\/li>\n<li>4 green chilli peppers, the larger ones (finely chopped)<\/li>\n<li>1 small onion (finely chopped)<\/li>\n<li>2 tins chopped tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon Olive Oil<\/li>\n<li>Fresh ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>Pecorino romano cheese (grated)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Parmesan can be used if you can\u2019t get Pecorino but please don\u2019t ever use the pre-grated sawdust that smells of old socks, this one product is responsible for putting people of one off the best cheeses in the world)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Put the olive oil into a lidded pan over a medium heat and add the onion, after a couple of minutes add the chilli &amp; garlic together with the pancetta or bacon, cook for a few minutes until the bacon is cooked through. Add the tomatoes and a good grating of black pepper stir through and simmer over a low heat stirring occasionally for about 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>(There is no need to add any salt to this sauce enough comes from the bacon and cheese)<\/p>\n<p>Cook the penne pasta to your own liking and then mix with about half the sauce, adding a good handful of grated cheese.
